Advanced Features¶

Your smartengine installation provides details of its operations through the smartmanager (see monitoring section. Based on this information, you can make adjustments to the settings and save additional energy or provide better experience to the site occupants.

In addition to the lighting optimizations, there are some advanced features that can be enabled at your site. Space Utilization Analytics, Floorplan are features that can be enabled by installing corresponding feature licenses. You can view details of these features by clicking against the feature in the left side navigation.

As you make changes to the system, configuration management becomes important.

Configuration Management¶

The smartdirector/smartengine automatically backup the system configuration on a daily, and weekly basis. These are saved as snapshots. In addition, you may also save a configuration snapshot through smartmanager.

Configuration Management

Navigate to the Manage System application in smartmanager, and select the Configuration section. You can perform the following actions:

Save current configuration as a snapshot
Restore a previously saved configuration snapshot
Download the current configuration to your local system
Upload a configuration file from your local system
Delete an old configuration snapshot

It is recommended that you save the snapshots as you make configuration changes so that you can recover from any changes that do not meet your requirements.
